About
Stacey Winter-Davis aka Mrs. W-D
I teach 11th and 12th grade Social Studies at Steelton-Highspire High School in Pennsylvania. In my classroom, we investigate, analyze, and examine various aspects of US History, Government, Personal Finance, and Economic Systems. I challenge my students to engage and discover through classroom discussion and hands-on activities. The integration of educational technology is a key part of my classroom instruction.
Prior to coming to Steelton-Highspire, I had the opportunity to teach for a variety of school districts from urban to rural. Some past positions held include US History & World Cultures at Hempfield High School, Digital Literacy at Red Lion Area Junior High, and Middle-Level Teacher for Lebanon's Migrant Education Summer Program with IU12.
I grew up in York County, PA and graduated from Dallastown Area High School. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Shepherd University, WV (Go Rams!) in 1999. I then returned to school in 2007 to receive my PA Teaching Certification in Social Studies from Millersville University. This past December 2020, I completed my Master's Degree in Education with a focus is in Educational Technology at York College of Pennsylvania. The journey of completing my Graduate Project during a pandemic can be found in the Blog section.
